About Wednesday Nights at Christ Church, Frederica

Join us for Wednesday Nights at Christ Church! We will start each evening at 5:30 pm with Formation after at 6:00 pm. The fall season includes 12 dinners that take place in our parish hall. Our last dinner of the season is December 17th.

Dinner Cost for 12 separate weeks:

  • $15 per person per meal or $180 per person for a subscription to all 12
  • Children under 12 eat free!
  • You may register below for all 12 meals by clicking the “Subscribe to 12 meals” button below.
    • Or, if you’d like, you can register for individual meals by clicking on the date you would like to attend.
  • Menus for each week can be found at the links below.
  • You may get your food as takeout – just tell the server at the window.
  • If you are dining in, you may also pre-order additional takeout meals for yourself or someone else you will be taking them to. *Note: there may be “leftover” meals after service has ended for a reduced price, but they are not guaranteed – order them if you want to be sure to have them

Fall 2025 Programs

We engage in thoughtful learning and conversation with leaders in their field. Most presenters will be in person, however, we utilize Zoom to allow greater participation by those who cannot make the trip to St. Simons easily. Our formation programs begin at 6:00 PM.

Upcoming Wednesday Night programs:

  • 10/15: Our speaker will be Ryan Burge, a political scientist whose research explores the influence of religion on American life and politics.
  • 10/22: On this evening, we will host a panel discussion about the Harrington School and the Harrington community, highlighting their connection with our neighbor, First African Baptist Church.
  • 10/29: We will host Kevin Pullen, an acclaimed artist and sculptor known for bringing overlooked historical figures to life through his powerful and evocative works.
  • 11/5: Join us as Sharon Altenbach shares insights about the 2026 Annual Fund Campaign! This year’s campaign reflects so much hard work and dedication, and we can’t wait for you to hear all about it.
  • 11/12: We are excited to hear from Dr. Jennifer Michael, Professor of English at Sewanee University. Her current book project, Poetry at the Edge of Silence, is deeply informed by her work in Environmental Arts and Humanities, particularly her course Poetry, Nature, and Contemplation, which uses contemplative practice to explore both language and our engagement with the environment.

Fall 2026 Menus

Wednesday Nights this fall feature the following delicious menus, lovingly prepared by our chefs, Hector Rosano and Gerard Monte. We also offer a simple kids’ meal for our younger, discerning diners. Each week, we raise money for our local soup kitchen, Manna House—donating more than $1,500 from our spring 2025 sessions alone!

  • 10/22: Butter chicken, Jasmine rice, Lemon cauliflower, Naan bread, almond butter cream cake w/ mango drizzle. Register Here.
  • 10/29: Spaghetti and meatballs, Italian chopped salad, garlic sautéed green beans, cheese bread & chocolate orange cream cake. Register Here.
  • 11/5: Gazpacho, Seafood, chicken and chorizo paella, crusty bread & lemon cake. Register Here.
  • 11/12: Roasted pork loin, apple sausage cornbread stuffing, glazed carrots & four berry cobbler. Register Here.
  • 11/19: Beef stew, mashed potatoes, yeast rolls & butter, apple pie. Register Here.
  • 12/3: Chicken teriyaki, pan seared vegetables, steamed rice, pork and vegetable potstickers, lemon mousse. Register Here.
  • 12/10: Chicken cordon Bleu , Dijon cheese sauce, baked apples and cranberries, red cabbage slaw & blueberry cheese cake. Register Here.
