Please join us for a 6-week study of the Gospel of John, beginning on January 19 at 10:00 AM, led by The Rev. Bob Brown.
The text for the study is Amy Jill Levine’s book, The Gospel of John. “AJ”, as she likes to be called, describes herself as an “unorthodox member of an Orthodox synagogue”, and is the first Jew to teach New Testament at Rome’s Pontifical Biblical Institute. She is currently the Rabbi Stanley M. Kessler Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies at Hartford International University for Religion and Peace.
This will be an enjoyable and fresh look at the fourth Gospel as well as an introduction to the scholarship of AJ Levine who will be one of our speakers at the Wednesday night dinners this winter.
Books for the study may be picked up in the church office for $15.
